INTRODUCTION
Autotech is a well-established business that specializes in supplying new and remanufactured cylinder heads for all makes and models of private and light commercial vehicles including Volvo, Audi, BMW, Peugeot, Volkswagen, Land Rover and many more. They offer a full engine cylinder head repair, rebuild and reconditioning service, all of which are carried out in-house using their top range facilities.
However, after a certain time, they sought help to expand commerce, improve store’s performance, increase footfall, to ensure flawless user experience and overall backend & front end design changes. To find the best possible solution, they contacted Agile Cyber Solution Pvt Ltd, after which the team analysed the challenges from a functional, UX and technical perspective keeping in mind the timelines to work against.
APPROACHES
The team started the implementation process initially on the cart, checkout, List & Grid view, product view, and Comparison page. They also implemented a new payment gateway to manage user experience followed by mobile responsive header changes.
The Second priority were the UI changes on the Home page and Check out pages. The team accomplished this with the installation of the respective plugin as well as adding or removing extensions as per the requirement.
The Third priority was the installation of an extension to boot user experience and updating the Cookie policy as per the Autotech policy. Moving further, the team updated the sitemap dynamic option and implemented the VAT calculations from the backend.
Finally, Autotech wanted us to analyse the current hosting since they have had performance issues and the team suggested migrating the website to AWS considering Virtual private server.
RESULT
Autotech noticed a drastic change in the store’s performance. Overall, we would like to term this as a successful up-gradation done with the utmost perfection and alignment of thoughts with our clients’ E-commerce vision.
